16-42?
Well I got my Zepher 16Tooth front sprocket and ordered a Vortex 42 tooth and speedohealer today im about 165 lbs suited. Im hoping this will give me a good starting point from the stock gearing. Does anyone know what gear i will be Crossing the 1/4 in? And do you guys think this gearing will work ok for me?

Should cross in low-mid 5th gear. Should work fine. I run 16-44, but I am 11" over.

I will try the 41 also smokin, So many guys said 16-41 and 16-43 so i figured i would start in the middle then decide which way i would go from there. Its going to be a complete revamp from last year and alot of learning all over again. Gotta give a big thank you to Brock for the free shipping on the Speedohealer. Any pointers i should know on the Speedohealer hook up before i begin? Smokin I havnt gotten the Dyno tune system yet probably in Febuary. Definitely dont plan on using it until i get used to the Bike again. But figured why not get it now that all the plastics and tank are off.

How long are you sitting at pazx? I think that has a lot to do with how much gear you can get away with. So far I have tried 17/41(stock) and 17/40. Not a huge difference, it seemed to 60' a bit worst but ran the same times and mph. Id like to try 16/40 but I think that its just going to be a wheelie machine at stock length.
What 16t kawasaki sprocket are you guys running so that it keeps the rubber isolater?

I've been running 16/42 gearing for about 2 1/2 years now and I love it I USUALLY cross the quarter in the very top of 4th right at the rev limiter occasionally the bottom of fith but I can usually do it in 4th...................I think this is a great all purpose gearing great for the street and the strip and for in town riding as well.

I tried 16/42 for a while then went to 16/43 ( a little too much for me!). Ended up at 17/45 and it comes out perfect for my riding style (high 1.3s~low 1.4s 60 fts). It also gave me a little more rpm in the 1/8th before worrying about the rev-limiter in 3rd. Consistant low 5.70s at 175 lbs with PC - Brock S-Meg and +4" extentions.

I would really like to try 16/41. The highest I've trapped is 146 with stock gearing, but will I be able to trap 150 at the track and still be in 4th gear. I would like to still be able to cross in 4th gear.

I picked up roughly 5mph in the 1/8th with 16/41 gearing I'm now just shy of halfway into 3rd gear when I cross the finish line.
