Question on turbo gearing
I'm going boosted, and am thinking about running my current gearing on the 14 which is one tooth up in back from stock. How will a stage one handle that gearing? I'm also about 5000 feet up in elevation. I'm thinking give it a try? I like LOTS of ridiculous pull.....the more the merrier (kinda like boobs lol)

Isn't it normal to gear a Turbo bike up? If the gear is too low you'll never get onto a wide open throttle without spinning the rear or looping the bike. No point in all that power if you can't use it.

You'll be fine as long as you don't run more than say 6lbs. Any more than that and{spinny or flippy}

Back in 1996 I rode the ZZR1100 Turbo which took the British and European motorcycle speed record, it belongs to my long time friend Mike Grainger. That bike was geared up and I clearly remember it pulling a monster, near vertical wheely as soon as I pinned the throttle open in 4th gear. The bike was already doing about 140mph and running on just 12lbs boost, I thought "it must be ok to get onto WOT by now" but it wasn't . You have to nurse a Turbo bike along, walking that fine line between wheelspin and flipping it, like Duncan said. In my view a Turbo geared down would be pointless unless you're talking very long swing-arm, sticky rubber and track-only.

Most of the turbo guys run stock gearing or even go 18 tooth on the front!
