Over 350 Miles on the 14 Today!
With temps reaching low 70's and a couple of riding buddies with new GPSs we set out at 8AM from Largo. Had breakfast up near the Withlacoochee River and headed up and across the state through the Ocala National Forest. Another stop at the Blackwater Inn in Astor near the St. Johns River less than 30 miles from the east coast. A wonderful ride on 314A and back through the forest. Stopped at Gator Joe's for dinner, passed Howie in the Hills and got back around 12 hours later. I oiled the chain lightly before we left and the ZX-14 performed flawlessly. My friends were riding a Honda ST1300 and a Yamaha FJ 1300. Besides them having room for extras in the luggage I believe the 14 was just as comfortable, and well the performance difference was definitely in my favor. We had a great time. It was good to be out on the trusty 14 and getting some serious riding hours in. Life is short get out and ride!

I think the 14 is underrated for its all day comfort. Done many hours long days with no ill effects just a charge. Today did one mile 40 degrees roads had dry spots was checking my valve cover leak repair.

It's below freezing here, not that I mind the cold but they use salt on the roads and there's no way I'm going to get my bike covered in that corrosive stuff. My next ride will be after we have some rain to clear it away.

Going good here thanks, I been doing my sharte of miles and recently went all over the southeast. Of course in the truck because I went 2700 miles visiting family and special friends, but took bike in back and still managed to put a 1000 or so on it
It was cold as fack up in the MTNs when I was visiting, so I drove the truck back a few thousand miles to Pensacola and the FL Keys
