I think I hit around 182-ish on mine, with speedohealer. I dont recall the exact rpms, but it seems like I am around or just about 5k for highway cruising.......

The top speed with 16/43 would be about 5-6 mph higher if you have
a 190/ 55 rear tire compared to 190/ 50

Dyno runs at local shop bike hit 185.5 with 16/41.So 183 ballpark sounds right.

Are you saying your bike is not ECU limited to 186 with stock gearing?

Using your 15.2 percent ......... 186mph - 15.2% = 157.73mph max.
Assuming your bike is limited to 186 stock, new tires, no clutch slipage nor wheel spin.
I think you just proved my point. Pull the speedohealer and try it again.

In a perfect world with 16/43 gears, max speed is 157 mph without speedohealer, 186mph with it set to show correct speed, rpm and hp limiter with it set for -50 %.

on the gearing commander site it says 187 at 11000 rpm. I think my rev limiter comes on at 11,5. If the rpm is acurate the mph would be 195 according to the site. Does anyone know if the tach has any error in it.

Not to change the subject but what factors does the ECU use to determine the top speed and limit the speed to 186 or so? Does it read RPM, speed according to the speedometer or whatever? Does anyone know?

im just saying i had it verified by gps and radar..... to be accurate within a mph or so....and i was reading 175-178 on my speedo.... with 16/43 gearing. im not sure of the rpms as i try to focus on the road at speed but i know that i was NOT on limiter and i WAS over 155........im pretty sure my bike is no different and is limited to 186 just like everyone else......

Kawboy, Re-read my post.
I'm not calling you a liar or saying you are wrong.
I simply want everyone to get the COMPLETE truth. You need a speedohealer to go over ~155 with 16/43 gearing.
Do us a favor if you get out for some testing.
Make a pass with 0 correction in your speedo, we can subtract 15.2% from whatever speed your speedo shows. Unpluged speedohealer if that's easier.
No pictures necessary, we'll take your word. OK?

With no Speedo healer -- my 16/43's did 168 GPS verified for about a minute. This on both my 06 and my 08. I'd bet with the Speedo healer it could have done 178+ easy.

Can either of you explain how you are getting around the 186 ECU limiter?
I only know of two way around this, modify the sprocket nut , or speepdohealer.

I hit 155mph at the track with my turbo @4 psi , then @ 8 psi went quicker but still
155 mph. Researching the problem I came up with ~16% gear correction. 186 mph -16%
reduction = 156mph.

Help me understnd what I'm missing.

One thing I can tell you Ninja12 is that 186 on the speedo is not 186 with the 14's ecu. I had my speedo buried on my completely stock 14 and never hit the 186 limiter. I was kinda bummed because I figured once I hit the limiter I would know I'd went 186 So with my bike anyways the speedo doesn't seem to be the place the ecu uses for its 186mph calculations. I understand your point that lowering the gearing with the stock speedo would lower your actual speed, and theoretically make you hit the 186 limiter much sooner... even though the speedo would be reading MUCH higher. I think part of the problem is you're giving the stock speedo too much credit. Its horribly off at higher speeds, to the point of almost being useless. I know, I've gps compared it as well....its really a joke Even with a speedohealer and (multiple) gps corrected to read right on at 80mph, once you get into the higher triple digits its still way off there's no way to truly make the 14's speedo accurate in the high triple digits, your only option is gps for ultra high speeds and honest numbers

My speeds were measured at the track over several passes.
Looks like i got the only bike that's actually limited .
I have another ecu, I'll try it to see what's really going on.
