Whats the difference between US and euro bikes?
HI
I just ordered a PCIII for my 06 and i was looking at maps on the DJ website. There are 7 maps which refer specifically to euro bikes and 23 I assume are for US bikes.
Can anyone tell me what the mechanical difference is between euro and us bikes?
Thanks

Heard they smog check Euro bikes, other than that I thought they were identical. Unless there's a language difference? Do they list a seperate map for each language/region?

The Euro models get ABS. I sure freaking wish we could have it.

Euro bikes also come standard with a center stand and passenger grab rail.

I don't think it's the difference in the bikes so much as the fuel and the local emissions legislation. Motorcycles in Europe have to comply with Euro 3 Emissions standard now and our ordinary unleaded is 95 RON, Could be the Dynojet maps take this into account.

Is there another source for European maps? I bought my PC from Fuelmoto in the US so I doubt they would have euro maps. There seems to be very little choice on the DJ site for us ZZR riders
Thanks

I heard the Euro ones wear speedos in public to the beach and the French ones are afraid to race, they will do arm drop racing however.

Good point Bawls. I seem to remember reading that the Euro mags believed that their model was a bit superior to the US model. The French model transmission had a little more wine and cheesy finish also. It also had a tendency for the exhaust to occasionally spit at you when it went by.

They do like to wheelie though... I guess it's their way of keeping their nose in the air

OK guys I like a dig at the French as much as the next guy, although having been there recently I was pleasantly surprised by the general attitude but can we please keep this on topic?
Thanks
