taking out the flies in an '09??
i have heard conflicting answers on other forums, so does anyone know if taking out the flies makes any difference on a 09' ? i've heard since kawasaki fixed the lowend power problem that you don't need to pull the flies. so any help would be appreciated, also if i did pull them do i need to remap or keep it the same? thanks!

If you pull the flies you Will need to remap it. The 08/09 are the same in regards to there more instantaneous power responses compared to the 06/07, sluggish power delivery. which greatly benefited from a fly removal / power commander / exhaust upgrade.

Im having real good luck with the 09's with just a brock ex and p/c. They are every bit as strong on the dyno and where it counts'on the street as the 06 with the flys out. Bill

Now Bill........look what you went and done................... So should I just buy an 09 ecm to plug into my 07? I would really like to just plug and play instead of pulling the secondaries. I'm listening.......I sure value your opinion.........

I pulled my flies the day I brought my bike home. I rode it for 5 miles and then pulled it into the garage and pulled the flies and installed my mods and havent looked back. If I hadnt pulled the flies I would always have wondered, "Would it be any faster without the flies". And since I know it could never be faster with them I am happy with my decision. The bike runs flawlessly without them if its mapped right Its not hard to do so I would say pull um.
