anyone have the monster edition?

anyone on here have the monster edition? i'm thinking about buying one but don't like the green stickers, was wondering if they can be removed or are they under the clear coat?any help would be appreciated, i wish they just had an all black one. but not for 09,, thanks

I got the John Hopkins Monster Energy helmet this past summer. NOW I am trying to justify getting the 09 to match the helmet, lol.

I had saw one at the local dealership and if my memory serves me correctly the stickers are not clear coated over. They are removable.

100% right! All it the Special Edition is for this year is a black bike with Monster Energy stickers on it. Pardon me if I step on any toes but you won't catch me spending a few hundred dollars MORE on a bike just for the honor of advertising for Monster Energy, which I think tastes like crap in a can anyway.

I love the green but the Orange & Black has not shown its face here in Florida yet, and I've been told that it most likely will not be until the end of December, but it looks pretty hot too.

thanks for the replies, i hate to spend extra for the monster edition but i don't think i can get a brand new plain all black one. so hopefully i can just remove stickers, but i want to see the orange in person before i buy the monster one because it looks awesome in pics.

Best to wait just a little bit before you buy to see the orange and black in person IMHO. If you don't like it then you can ALWAYS grab the Special Edition but this way you will be CERTAIN you made the right choice.

I was at the dealership a couple weeks ago, and I saw an orange and black bike but I do not remember which manufacturer it was from. I would like to say it was a Yamaha R6 but please don't quote me on that. Anyway, if the new Kawi will look anything like this "R6" then it is going to be BEEEE-YEEEEEEW-TEEEEEE-FUUUL! The orange on that ride is not a "pumpkin" orange but like a "burnt sienna", meaning it takes on a more reddish tone. Looking at the pictures online they SEEM to be more of a reddish orange rather than an orangey orange and personally I think it will be worth the wait. Then again there is always the green too which looks fantastic in the sunlight!

Decisions decisions!

You can take the monster stickers off, but you will still have the green pin stripe on the rims which is under the clear, and the windscreen has a monster logo built into too. The monster bike looks much better in person imho, I was all set to get the green bike until I saw the monster on the dealership floor.
