Another new 14 Owner
I recently purchased a new '08 14. Couldn't be happier . Truly an amazing machine. Of course, I've already starting improving it . Saw that Brocks is having a year end sale and jumped on it. I should have a few pics to post after I install the pipe and PC.
It's been interesting reading this forum the past few months....lots of good info here. I hope to be able to contribute someday.
I did break it in on dino oil and then switched to Rotella Synthetic at 1000 miles....that made a noticable difference in engine noise and it also seemed to shift a little better? I also think it might be running a little cooler, but haven't really had it long enough to say for sure.
I gotta couple budies, one with a Titan and one with a massaged vmax that were both flapping their gums until I got the break in done...after last weeks ride, lets just say the gums ain't flapping no more................

welcome,,it sounds like u r on the right road, i have a silver 08,used motomans type of break in, i have a brock smeg ceramic coating, pc 3, flies removed,bmc filter, 16/41 gearing,,,it reall runs good, had it dynoed 179 h.p. n 105 lbs torque,have 10800,,i added an extra fan for fear of it over heating,,it will cool down a lot after it loosens up,,it took 5000 miles to really loosen up,,now it seems like it just keeps running better

Don't even try to tell us that your 14 gave the VMAX any problems at all. The only reason you could not hear the gums flapping is that he was so far ahead...Oh yeah almost forgot, the VMAX is a turd 
Congrats on the new purchase and for whatever it is worth, mine ran much cooler after the 1000 mile break-in.
