got a ticket
me n my buddy were riding near lake isabella here in cal n there was this guy in a truck in front of me that kept on moving over to the right, he was trying to get to lane share and pass him,,so i followed for a while then punched it past him,,then there it is, the hidden cop right there,,i was wandering if he was a local n set my up,, when cop came over to me,,he looked at me like u r to old to be riding that n going that fast,,n i looked at him like u r to young to be a cop,,anyway he said i was going 105mph,,i said oh shit give me a break,, n he did,,he wrote me for 70mph in a 55mph zone,,that was love,,after that me n my buddy rode up the kern river to shermans pass a road that goes over the sierra nevada mountains up about 10000 ft. through kennedy meadows to hwy 395, anyway there were patches of snow n ice about 200 ft long about 8 of them along the way,,i got through it ok on the 14,,but my buddy dumped his bmw r11, i got him up n going,,i started to get the hang of it,,no lean angle,,keep it in second or third so there is not as much torque to the rear wheel,,n dont go to slow n try to travel on new snow,,the 14 did really good for a big bike

Bummer about the ticket but at least you got a break on the speed.
I think 30 mph over the posted speed limit is considered reckless driving, and you can go to jail for that.
I did that ride in Aug only starting on the 395 side. Definitly no snow then! It was my first time to Kennedy meadows, and lake Isabella. There are some really fun roads to ride around there. Did you stop at the Grumpy Bear's tavern?

no it was closed for the season,,thats a nice ride huh,,i went to kings canyon last month,,beautiful

Nice to hear the Cop gave you a break. Riding in snow on a big bike is something else, keeping to the new snow and doing everything real slow and gentle is good advice.
