Bazzaz?
I'd like to get some feedback on the Bazzaz setup for the 14. Specifically, I am interested in:
1) What is the fuel trim/tuning capability when compared to the Power Commander?
2) How do you control timing with the Bazzaz; is it even a function?
3) Why would I switch from a Power Commander based system?
I have a full dynojet setup here (lcd, hub, pcusb, ignition module). It would take something amazing to get me to change, but I'm all ears!

if you already have all that invested I'd keep the power commander. from what i've gathered the bazzaz unit works best on bikes with 2 sets of injectors. The PCV will only debut for 2009 model bikes, but it has all in one box features the bazzaz has.

A friend of mine runs one on his k8 busa, and it's amazing. He rides around for a couple of minutes once he gets to the track and it adjusts to the DA. All of the rest of us will be running slower than normal, and he's still running the same. I believe he's running a baseline map that he got from Brock. Maybe Brock will shed some light on the subject.

That part, the self tuning accessory, does look interesting. Looks like it could save a lot of work....if the results are there.

I will only say this, do your homework on this system shane before you spend alot of money! They are a decent set up but they are not self tuning, I like using an a/f moniter in my line of site and i down load the log if i see a ratio i don't like or run a track at differant elavations. This is the easieist way i have found to map for best perf, and once you have worked with it a couple times setting your p/c fuel cells are a snap. Just my 2 cents ......

Thanks Bill. I think I am sticking with the Power Commander setup. I just don't see a reason to switch.

Good decesion Shane'' Do you have a data logger on the 14. Crap never mind, i remember reading your build post about the install. I really enjoyed that post btw. I have real good luck with the a/f moniter for real time and log for backing that up. I have come up with three maps basicly,1 for temps/barimeter for this time of yr, 1 hot/humid map,and one for a dry shot with 40hp at the wheel. This is of course on my bikes state of tune. The stk sensers on the bike do a pretty good job keeping up with the differant temps/alti, but you can improve on them for performance mods anyway. Hope to see you continue with your build thread......

got the Bazzaz on my 08 Busa, like billeason says its not self mapping, you choose the desired a/f and it will give you that, I like mine, real easy to remap if you want to run race gas, or changing weather conditions at the strip,
