I thought you were talking about 240mph with a stock swingarm.

I need to learn to pay attention.

If you do that with a stock swingarm the wheel will sit offset to the right.

Kosman does it for a lot less than Roaring Toyz, Roaring Toyz told me $2500 and exchange my stock wheels! Kosman says $850 for mod of your wheel(refinish not included) and that includes sprockets. gonna do mine this winter hopefully, so if i don't like it, just put another stock wheel on it and keep on movin!
but one thing is for sure, if he widens it to 8.5", its gonna be REAL tight!!!!!
and its gonna be dead center of the arm, no other way!

i was told price includes: both front and mod. rear, (in chrome),fr. and rr sprockets, and rr tire. and i would have to send them my stock wheels.
they told me it would be @ 2200 when i spoke to them at BBW, then i was so knew they hadn't priced it yet, after i called them a couple of times in june and july, they nailed the price down at 2500! i didn't tell them i had already called Kosman and gotten his price (850, includes both spockets also).
i can't be upset with' em for making money,

I just can't afford 'em !!!! LOL

Yeah but do you want the wheel centered, beacause every kit I have installed and have seen are always offset to the right.

yuo definately want it centered, if you can get it centered. most bikes are off-set because you can only push the chain and spocket so far to the left. the 14s i've seen have the wheel (240) almost perfectly centered, even with longer arms. bigger tires are always centered because they run Jackshafts.

zx14 stock swing arm with 240

get rim widened from east coast motor sports call jonathan at 1 704-786-8820 tell him travis told you to call send him your rim he will widen it. ask for a 11mm spacer for sprocket only. thats the only spacer you need. get a 1/4 inch offset sprocket. new bearings for your rear tire. get a 15 tooth since the rim will now be a18 inch rim instead ofa 17. get a pirelli tire. take your rear brake calper holder on rear where where it goes on axle nut and grind like 1mm off. use locktight on everything when you put it back together. call kawasaki shop in your town and ask for torque specs and torque all bolts. if you do this the tire is not off set. and i run 180 mph and does just fine. all you need is 1/4 inch offset sprocket, 11mm spacer between wheel hub and sprocket and put new bearings in.

Everything sounded right but all they do is widen the rim when they do the rear, so why is it an 18 now instead of a 17, i got a 240 from roaring toyz over 4 years ago n the setup did include a 18 on the back instead of the 17 n 1 tooth down offset in the front, but a friend had his rear wheel widened by tripleplatecustoms n the wheel is still a 17, (this bike is a katana 600 too) the chain will ride dangerously close to the frame however, not sure how close it is on ur 14's, i've seen some notch out the frame for clearance, but my 240 is centered n 51pds heavy, lol

i sont know why the rim is a 18 now the lips they weld on make it bigger and i went one tooth down beacause the tire got biggger round you dont have to go a tooth down and no there is no notch in my frame my tire is center and i go 180mph and if therer was something wrong the bike would break at that speed. its close to tire and frame but i got everything even painted for 1,100 dollars. those fags a triple plate custom are ripping everyone off and i told them i would figure all this out and tell everyone how to do it so they dont make a pisss load of money off all of use for something this simple

why theylle charge the hell out of you when you can get your rim widend for 500. dollars and get a 11mm spacer from a machine shop for like say 50 to a 100 dollars new bearings like 50 dollars 1/4 inch off set sprocket 89.00. torque wrench borrow one or therer like 60 bucks. lock tight 5.00 dollars, 6 bolts for spacer at hardware store make sure there 6 grade bolts like 8.00 dollars. perille zr tire 190.00 mount balance at bike shop 40. dollars, get rim painted at local body shop like 125.00 dollars. add that up thats cheaper than what eny one else will do for you and you have to put the rim and kit on yourself anyways if you get it from them. i done this in the winter as a project it takes like 4 weeks to get your rim back. and like a week mabye to get it painted if there busy. and you can by the bearings and sprocket on ebay new. and you got jonathans number he will get you a spacer and hes the one that wideneds your rim. your not paying a middle man. in no way am i afiliated with any of these people i live in south dakota im just beaing nice trying to save all my zx14 rides some money. dont pay the middle man.

yeah mine went to a 18 n went -1 in the front n a 46T in the back, this kept the rollout bout stock. Now i ride wit a 49T on the back n its like riding around all the time in 5th gear, lol, but it pulls good, probably much similar to everyone going down 1 in the front n up 1 in the back. I think my speedo is like 6mph off at 65 n a little more at 160

yeah, but i'm probably going back to the stock gear ratio, i just want to try n get some lower et's out of the bike, now i need a back tire cause i had to put that metzler 880 back on it since my diablo showed steel, lol, that 880 will spin in 4th gear, lol, j/k, but it is a touring tire n not a traction tire. After i get the tire i'm going to sum test n tunes, wish i had a tune on the bike but summer is already here, unless i get a raise, it'll be undertuned this year as well, lol, but i would luv to go to JMillers class at MIR someday I saw a 240 on a 14 running 9.50 index, if i cant get to that i would b happy
