Brocks Gen 3 20inch vs Shorty

I will be ordering Brocks Gen 3 system this winter. I am wondering if anyone has the shorty Gen 3 can on their bike or has seen one in person. Does it look good, better than the long can? On Brocks site the 20 inch cans look really long to me, almost too long. Is that just bad perspective in the photo? I am trying to stay neutral with my neighbors by not purchasing the Meg or Smeg systems.

My buddy put the shorty on his 08 Busa and I personally think it looks funny. looks like it belongs on a smaller bike then the busa or 14. I went with the 20 inch on my 14 and my other buddy did the same on his 08 Busa and I think the 20 looks better.

Decide for yourself. My full can looks a lot nicer (it's oval and stainless, as opposed to circle and aluminum). The shorty is actually not too much louder.... it just drones a little more, and has a deeper tone.

Yes the 20 inch can on your bike looks good. It must be poor photos on Brock's site. I guess its the Gen 3 full can for me. Now which finish is the question. Thanks for the input Bently and gilberjj.

hard to say. I've never dynoed the mufflers consecutively, but on different dynos, the shorty made 2.5 more hp then the longer muffler. That could be due to a million different things though.... however.... When drag racing the bike, I have trapped a high of 146 mph with the shorty and my highest mph with the full muffler is 142. That itself indicates that the shorty makes more power, but these were done at different tracks on different days..... so, all in all, maybe the shorty muffler makes a little more hp, but with my inconsistant and limited drag time, and the dyno results on 2 different dynos on 2 different days, I would say the info is inconclusive. But, if I was a bettin man, I would bet the shorty does make a little bitsy more powah!
