smokin deal on tires!!!!!!!
There is a one day sale at cyclegear.com
Bridgestone bt016s (120 70 17 and 190 50 17) for $199!!!!!!!!
also, if you can get to a store, someone on my local forum is claiming that pirelli diablo corsas are going for $190!!!!!
I'll be getting the Pirellis tomorrow, just thought I would help you guys out, because I know we all go through tires too quickly.
also..... which tires will get the most mileage out of them. I don't ride in the rain, and I like dual compound tires, but I think the bridgestones might be a little too soft for me. I am currently on avon storms and got 6k miles out of them, but they are at the end of their life. I want something that is really soft on the edges, but hard in the middle. So, which brand will give me the most life of these two deals, pirelli or bridgestone?

Only riding on Pilots..$287every 5K is the best ROI.
Tires are not an item to discount and the Pilots have not let me down in 30K

Racers have told me that they don't like pilot powers. Sure they are soft and very grippy, however, PP's (from what I'm told) have no feeling right before they lose traction. They hold their line, and then when you lose traction, they wash out very quickly. No thanks.
The bt016's (from a couple reviews online) are said to "have a lazy wash out" when they start to lose traction. Nobody should really be pushing that hard on the street, but depending on finances, I'd like to do a track day next spring. Thanks for all your input, and I'll give a review or yay or nay.
I got the bt016s because they are a bt021 compound in the middle (st tire) and bt002 compound on the edge (that is the racing tire). That seems like it would be great for aggressive twisties, while still lasting quite a while.

There is more than 1 tire manufactured for the 14 for a reason. What ever tire fits your budget and instills confidence should be your tire of choice. For me, this is the PP.

If you want a smokin deal on tires, you can contact me. There is no one on the internet, ebay or retail business that can touch my tire prices.
It's funny that this thread came up right when I was about to start listing and letting you guys know.
I will be post up info in the classifieds Backyard Garage section today or tomorrow.
All the tire manufacturer's are having a price increase Saturday Nov. 1.

A little over 3k so far. I'd estimate I'll get another 1500 miles before I hit the wear bars.

As I think it is for most. I was going to go with Pilots, but the price on bt016's swayed my decision. I'm glad it did. IMO, both tires are equal. The bt016's heat up super fast and once they are warm, they edges are as stiicky as fly paper. No sh*t. They are a great tire, not just a cheaper alternative to the PP's.

i could make the bridgestones wash out in a heartbeat. that has never happened with the pilot powers. they are the best tires for the 14, don't listen to others find out for yourself what you are missing out on bro.
