Help! ZX14 maps required

Hi all. I now have most of the pieces needed to transform my stocker 2008 ZX14 into something a little more gnarly. My wife ( bless that long suffering woman!) bought me a Hindle Carbon fibre 4-1 for my b-day ) and I've purchased a PCIII, speedo healer, K&N, 43/16 sprockets and fresh chain. I hope to be mounting all after pulling the flies this weekend.

Problem : Hindle does not supply maps, the same dealership I bought the bike at was the purchase point for the Hindle and THEY don't have maps, Power Commander does NOT have maps for this combo and I do not have a shop with a Dyno in my area (Ontario Canada between Ottawa & Montreal QC)

So until I get the bike to Montreal (probably not till next spring at this point of our riding season) for a proper dynotuning, I need a map. Hindle tech support has been of no help, no response thus far from Dynojet either. Anyone have a map they could sell me , or a suggestion on where I can find one?

I considered using a map from PC for another combination for the ZX14 (Muzzys Akrapovic etc) but am unsure of the similarities in flow properties between various manufacturers. I'm just out of warranty and would hate to blow this thing up due to an overly lean or otherwise potentialy engine killing condition.

Any suggestions?? (I know I know, shoulda bought it from Brocks...I would have but can't look a gift wife err horse in the mouth!)

TIA!

Is the header on the hindle stepped(race)? Or is it standard hindle? I'd throw a dynojet map in it and call it good.

Try some other full system 4-1 maps from the dynjojet site. Full systems aren't all that much different. You can probably find a map you like just fine Just be sure its a flies out map

I considered that, but the only flies out maps available on the dynojet site are for 2006-2007 models....what are the odds they will be the same as required by the 08 os?

There is not enough difference in the maps once you pull the flies. I'd take MJ's advice and not even worry about it. Just get it tuned when you get a chance.

Is your header pipe stepped on the hindle or is it the same diameter from the headers to the collector? If you have the race hindle with stepped header tubes, you may want to find a map for a simular pipe.

So bring it back for the Brocks genIII system and you'll get the maps...

It says Brocks street system by Hindle on the plate!!!

Zx14 Maps required

Well I've now installed the PCII and sexyashell Hindle Carbon Fiber exhaust. Removed my secondaries, stripped 2 of the screws but fixed that pretty easily with plumbers putty, a magnet and a custom cut drill bit (anyone in a similar oh F*** situ feel free to pm me for the details!)

And, after some wiggling and swearing managed to get the PC unit under the seat (again, anyone needing details feel free to pm and ask how!)

The shocker was the weight savings, stock full exhaust system 37.4 lbs, Hindle with CF can 8.3lbs!!!! I verified this on a Postal certified scale.

The pipe fit like a glove and the can looks awesome.

I'm still having some mapping issues, the unit will not accept any of the 06-07 secondaries out maps I got from DynoJet. I cannot find any secondaries out maps for an 08 (any pipe/filter config) Does anyone out here have a map they would share/sell me?? I'm thinking any aftermarket exhaust system, flies out, stock or aftermarket filter map is worth a try at this point.

TIA!

Firstly, thanks all for the input and especially AZ Zx14 for the map!

This has got to be the easiest instant power bolt on job I have ever had to perform hp for hp!!

Has anyone else weighed their stock exhaust? My stock system was 37.4lbs, my Hindle Carbon fiber can and thin wall headers weigh a whopping 8.3lbs! 30lbs off a sub 500lb bike ain't a bad Saturday!

The bike now runs like a true superbike, sounds sweeeeeet, and what an amazing difference over flies in stock exhaust. It is contrary to one popular theory, NOT a bitch to ride in traffic/city conditions. i held off on the gearing swap, but will do that one shortly.

heres a short clip of what it sounds like...

again thanks all for the input!
