what did it cost to have him shoot you? Can just anyone get on the track to film or does it require special permission? I would love to have a corner man or two film me when I go. Figuring we could take turns filming each other's best runs... just need somebody else with a camcorder.

55 bucks. but i got 103 photos because not many people were at the trackday. I heard 2Fast has someone you can hire to follow you on-track and film. Im gonna try for that next year. anyone can go to the infield to take pics, but Bones has special access to many places, so his pics are best.

Cool. I'll do the on-track filming myself. I'm pretty good at that stuff now.

Here is one shot I've been wanting to get but really needs a track to do it right: have you slow down a tad in the corners/exiting the corners so I can go around you while you're cornering, pass you midcorner then have you blast past me on the straights as I wont accellerate after I straighten out. I can do that shot handheld. Been practicing going full lean with only one hand- it's not that hard actually... Another similar shot will be the "lapping" shot with the you passing me inside-to-outside midcorner. I can only use my left hand (obviously) for these shots so you have to pass me on the inside- I'll just hold a "street line" as if I was on a two lane road...

Finally got someone who can ride a 14 well enough to make a cool vid! For some reason none of my friends wants to do those shots for me. Guess the idea of a big SOB on a zx14 outcornering them on a video doesnt sit well with them. lol

Nice Pic NOD!!!

Just wondering; Has anyone tried raising the bike about an inch to give it more clearance?

How bad would it mess with the handling and stability?

I understand that the bike is what it is, but still curious.

So fire off with any opinions, facts, or whatever.

OH yeah, sorry for jacking this thread.

I just did a track day at Putnam in Indiana and I mounted a set BT-002 R's (190/55) on the rear, that gives you about 1/2" more ground in the rear and set the sag and upped the compression. I left the front alone except for more pre-load and compression. I didn't touch anything but the feelers all day. Sure suprised the guys on full race prepped bikes. It almost made me miss my Gixxer, almost.

We need more pics of 14's on the road track. Everyone knows to come to Bikelands zx14 forums for drag racing, but thats only a part of what the bike can do. Granted that "part" made the bike famous... But the point is, in "experienced hands" it's still a force to be reconned with and capable of holding its own in anything short of a professional road racing event.

Reminds me of the first time I watched a SCCA race and went "Is that a friggin Volvo?? And a BMW too?!?! And they are ahead of both the Porches and Corvettes?!?! WTF?

I agree!

It's time to see some more road track pics.

We know it's not a 1000, but it's still cool to see these bikes leaning in the twisties.

Oh, and the riders handling these horses!!!

Hello all.
I just completed my 2nd trackday on the 14. That bike suprised everyone there. Here are some pics of my first track day. I should have better pics coming of yesterdays run.

Hope you like.
