Did I blow my engine???

Please tell me you can help. I know there's hundreds of years of expierence on this board and I trust what you all have to say.

I went out today for a little ride. Well, I got to my friends house about 1/4 mile away and saw that the oil site glass had some milky color to the oil. Pics are worth a thousand words and I don't type that well so here.

As far as how it acts...normal. No ticks, taps, knocks, nothing. No smoke. It does die the first time it's cranked but it's pretty chilly up here, about 40 deg or so.

I also took off the oil filler cap and there was foam on it and it smelled like oil fuel and antifreeze. I bought the bike in May, and did a proper brake in by the book, 600 mile check up for $300 and take exceptional care of it. I don't race, wheelie or any other shinanigans. I don't know what could have caused this or even what it is. Oh yeah, I did change the oil a month or so ago with Motul 20w50 motorcycle specific oil. The bike has 2399 miles on it.

Well it could be blow or leaking head gasket but zx14s are not known for that ...Could be the cool temps building up mosture in the crank cases ....You may have to ride the bike a little more, like 50 miles and not just to a friends house ..

If you got it in May you should be covered under the factory warranty... Take it to the dealer and let them have a look ..

I do plan on taking it in to the stealership however I don't trust them nor there competency. I want to know more of what it possibly could be so I don't get jacked around to much. So what would driving further do and what should I be looking for on the ride?

what Smokin said.
Very likely condensation.

You can pressure test the coolantbsystem for leaks if your worried about fining out the hard way.

Mine has done that a couple times. It was condensation.
Take out for a good long ride and get it really warm. It will boil off.

There are dye additives you acn put in the antifreeze, and the dye will show up under a black light if your burning antifreeze.

Is the coolant bottle low, and does it fill when the bike gets hot.
Generally the combustion pressure can back out the coolant and cause the level to overflow when the bike gets warm

If I recall, the motul is yellow/green oil? If it has a real sweet smell then you know it is antifreeze. Drain the oil, see what rises to the top, if anything.

I was mistaken about the oil. I actually used mobil 1 20w50. I can definately smell antifreeze and fuel in the oil.

Living in North Dakota, I see this a lot. It's from the extreme temperature changes. It can get down to 40 degrees at night and up to 80 the next day. I would see that in my 12 once in a while. It never missed a beat. It had over 12,000 miles on it when I sold it and it ran like a charm. I've seen this in my 14, too. I use synthetic oil and change it every 1,000 miles. Up here, in the winter, when you pull the dipstick out of your car engine, there's always white condensation on it. My little Nissan probably has over 200,000 miles on it (don't know, the odometer only works when it wants to, never when it's cold outside) and it runs great. I see this white stuff on the dipstick and on the inside of the oil cap. I'm not worried about it.

Nothing to worry about, listen the comments Smokin, Dubious, and mokaw mentioned.
I've seen the same thing on my bike in cold temps.

I have seen this emulsion many time in engines which don't get up to temperature, often a result of short journeys. There will always be some water vapour in the oil but it usually boils off when the engine is good and hot.

Thanks all. I'm going to listen to everyone and change oil and take it for a good long ride. We'll go from there.
I'm from the south, Alabama to be exact, and we don't get stuff like this down there. Learning new stuff everyday.

I just changed the oil. It totally makes sense...Lately I have only been driving to work and back which is only a mile away. It has been pretty chilly here around 40 deg or so. Thank you for all your help. I hope the new oil and a good excuse to take her for a long ride will make it right. Will the foamy stuff on the site glass ever go away?

After a good 30+ minute ride that sight glass should be perfectly clear. If not, especially after an oil change, you got bigger problems. I'd call it a 80% chance its just condensation...
