Search tool
I didn't want to continue this line of conversation on another existing thread, so I just started a new one. People say to use the search tools on this site, but they don't work worth a crap. The one on the right just googles stuff, the one on the left just shows you all the threads. It doesn't show you what you requested at all. Am I doing something wrong here?

yea, I have no problem with it, when i put in a specific search string and select a specific forum it finds it every time.
and if it finds a trillion of the same topic.......

sure.
"2009 green" takes one to several posts, and its easy to distinguish the "new kawasaki" new bike thread, a guy's post that bought one already, and a few more.
its not that hard and works great.
more examples

Steve, for example, I put in a search for "brocks noise reduction plug" in ZX-14.com. I get a list of almost all of the threads. I put in a search for "power commander" for God's sake. Think it could find threads with that? It shows threads about everything. So, I guess what I am saying is that it doesn't work correctly. And thank you, Smokin', I was starting to think I might need to take the short bus to work tomorrow. Help us PO folk Stevie!

smokehouse4444, I'm just joking and I agree it may not be the best search tool. but it does work, you have to be more specific just like out on the web.
the search tool will find the search string you entered and return EVERY thread containing the string. Thats what its supposed to do.
if I type oil I bet I get >1000 returns. but if i type in fork oil I stand a chance.
use the one on the left. also, its real helpful if you change the forums from search all to only the ZX14 forum drop down
