Worth pulling flies and installing PCIII with stock exhaust?
Just bought a 08 and have been thinking about pulling the flies and installing a PCIII with stock exhaust, is there any appreciable difference? We have no tracks here in Newfoundland so I won't be racing, maybe a few 1/4 miles a year at an abandoned airstrip is all. Also we have no tuners on the island that I am aware of so I am on my own setting up this puppy. So as I asked earlier is it worth doing without changing the stock exhaust or should I leave as is? What I am looking for is a little more bottom end response as we don't really have the roads around here to wind her up anyway. Thanks for the help.

There is a lot of diffrences, just pull the flies out. I have ยด07 and I took flies out and install pc with dynojet own map from their site and bike changed a lot. bike pulls much harder in low rpm..

I know there are already a ton of posts here about removing flies and what not but I am asking because as far as I know I have the only 14 within hundreds of kms of here so I don't have the option of taking to other drivers to see how things work out. Most of the guys here have the flies removed and a pile of other mods as well so kinda hard to tell whether or not it was worth it with the stock cans, was hoping someone with the same set up who does almost all street driving could help.

I'm riding my 07 right now with stock exhaust and no flies. I don't think that th 08's benefit as much since their flies open earlier anyway.

As said many times, the 06/07 14's benefit greatly at lower rpms from fly removal.
However, on my 08, it didn't make much difference (seat of the pants).
Let me quote Brock (as I bow in the direction of Ohio - LOL!):
"One tooth added to the rear sprocket will help torque more than anything I can do with a pipe, but when the customers ask..."
IMHO, changing to a 16 tooth countershaft sprocket for $35 will give you more SOTP bottom end than a $300+ PC. Get the Kawasaki OEM # 13144-1317 which has the damper. (credit to Crotchrocket and oldkawboy for this info). ronayers.com works for me, but there are other places, including your local stealership.

I have an 07, flies out world if difference. My friend has an 08, pulled the flies, no difference. He put a 16 tooth in and was then able to beat my 07. So I put a 16 tooth in, and said bye bye.

If I pull my flies out, will I have a better sex life? Don't have time to search this out--

If I were you I would leave them in the 2010. The 06-07 models really needed them removed.
