Black Residue on Exhaust

After a trip to Upstate NY this weekend (700+ miles round trip) , I noticed the black film on the exhaust in the pics below.
I was just wondering if this is normal or is it running a little rich.
Flies pulled , Brooks street map no flies, stock air filter.

I missed the heat from the stock exhaust, coming back down in the early morning hours with the temps in the mid 40's, LOL. I was never so happy to see the sun.

The residue seen is normal, I have a similar build up w/S-meg. I normally clean in up w a good chrome polish/cleaner you'll find @ AutoZone. Sounds like you had fun and brought somethin back to brag about(trophy)!

Thanks for the replies, I had touched it with my finger and it came off, but it was new to me, So I was just checking to make sure its normal.

It was actually 2 trophies the other one is in my book bag, furthest distance club and furthest distance on iron.
I had another one in my back pocket 85 in a 65, but I wasn't to happy about that 1, LOL.

It's normal. My alien head does it. On the dyno, it registers rich. The guy at Advanced Kawasaki wanted to work on the map. I said no go. It's rich for a reason. Dyno numbers don't win on the track. Brock's maps are track tested/perfected.
