Clutch Spring Spacers??
Does anyone have the Brock's spacers laying around? I am trying to justify why 5 washers cost $30. There must be more to it than meets the eye...
Can you get the same result just shimming with standard washers? It seems like you would have even better tuning capability if you used washers similar to what you tune a lock-up with.
I'll probably end up buying the Brock's, but I'd like to learn a little along the way.

Brock spacers are 180 thou thick and looks nothing like washer ... I tried to find washer that would work but i had no luck so i got brocks spacers ..

From the picture, it looks like they install on the underside of the spring?

They install under the factory washer at the top of the bolt .....

would normal washers have the same tolerance for thickness?. the MTC shims i have are damn accurate

Hate to bring this back up, but did anyone else find the clutch way too tight/stiff after installing these spacers?
I have had no luck with the spacers. Maybe I am donig something wrong.
They intsall in between the spring and the factory washer correct?

I run 3 of the spacers and it works well for me ... I tried all 5 but it was just to much for me ...

Well, I got the Brocks spacers today:
I also ordered a spring tester off of Ebay:
At first glance, the Brock's spacers look like nothing special. In fact, I don't like the design at all (but hey, they obviously work!). When I get the spring tester, I will be testing my stock springs, the heavy Barnett's, and various thickness spacers.

I run both Brock's springs and spacers. There was a noticeable difference in lever pull. I ride it daily in bumper to bumper traffic and do not get fatigued. At the track it helped to get the bike moving much better.

I put the spacers in my bike and it was to tight also. does anyone have a picture of exactly where they should be installed

I ran the springs and had great luck with them... I learned the hard way the spacers don't go on under the springs lol. As it turns out those posts are tapered and they don't take kindly to spacers.

I've never ran the spacers but I have ran heavy spring in my turbo bike and they worked good, I like the feel of stock tho and it works for me for now in my new zx14 so that's how it will stay until I need something to hold power

i got heavier springs and spacers but is not as hard and grabby as i thought it would be, should i tighten the bolt more?
