60ft times

I just took my bike to the track for it's maiden run since adding lowering bones and a strap kit. Other than that and no flies with stock no flies map it's completely stock. What kind of 60ft times should i be shooting for? I'm hooking up fine, but can't seem to get lower than a 1.60. I'm 175 lbs in undies. The DA was around 4-4500, and the track temp was around 90 degrees. I was running a consistent 6.60-6.62, which is about .15 off of what i was running the last time i was at the track and with a lot warmer temps. I will definitely say that the bones and strap kit made it a lot more enjoyable experience lol. No more fighting wheelies! Now I just need to get a cup for when it does wheelie lmfao.

a mid 1.5 60ft is very good for stock wheelbase, i think i've seen ricky gadson pull some high 1.4s but if you just an average joe you should shoot for mid 1.5s, 1.60s arent bad though.

i haven't bottomed it out, but it did pull the front tire about 2.5 feet off the ground and then when it sat back down it bounced and i slid forward because I still had my feet behind me. It was completely my fault because I didn't think about the fact that I had pulled the flies and i launched at 5500 rpm like i would have if i still had them in lol. I'm hoping that once I re-gear it I'll be able to get them down a little. Hopefully before the season is over, i'll be able to take it up to Fontana (california speedway near LA) and run it through the 1/4.

Dont spend all your attention the 60' and forget about the 330!!!

When you leave concentrate on getting in the gas and lock that throttle, watch how that 1/8 mile drops!!!

Start off by leaving a little easy and twist the throttle to the lock, untill you get use to it then leave harder and harder!!!

my goal is to have the throttle pinned and the clutch completely out by the 60 ft mark. Then it's to raise my feet slowly and smoothly so as not to upset the chasis. after that it's to make sure that i'm as low and in as tight of a tuck as possible. all of this while making sure that i take it all the way to red line. I'm pretty consistent at everything but the feet. I still catch myself moving my feet too fast.

You need time to get use to the g-force of launching hard...Thats why I say leave easy and get in gas ASAP, then leave harder and harder!!!
