Heat Resistant Foam

Took my plastics off and noticed that some of the foam had separated from the plastic. Some had actually dry rotted.

What kind of adhesive do you fellas recommend to use to re-apply the foam?

if you use real "heating /AC" duct tape, the metal stuff that has wire through it and costs a fortune, combined with some foam heat shield you'll have better insulation than the factory provided. at a cheaper cost than paying the parts man at the dealer for more cheesy foam to boot

Next question:

I have two pieces that fell off the bike while taking the plastics off.

Is there a reference that I could use to place them where they should be?

Yea..... NO! Good luck with that, your best bests are: #1. Find another 14 in your area and talk him into taking his fairings off (good luck).
#2. post up the photos of the offending pieces and which side each came from and await an answer.
#3. Suck up enough to someone here for them to voluntarily go out to there bikes and takem apart and photo them.

Come to think of it, #3 is a good idea. I've probably spent at least a couple hours of my life trying to figure out where the hell those things go myself. So I volunteer the next guy to take his 14 apart to be responcible for the photos.

I think he is talking about the 3 parts that allways fall out when the body work is removed ...One goes around the coolant tank and the other goes around the lower rad hose to the water pump . The last one goes around the upper rad hose ..If that is the case they DO NOT glue in place ...You kind stuff them in place and put the body work back on to hold them in place..
