State farm here also, first agent wanted $3600. new agent gets around $700.
Check different agents, I can't explain why there could be so much different for same coverage. Farmer has good bike prices but you have to give them a car also.

Thanks, you guys, for the info. It made me change my mind, so I bought the bike. Got the call into a State Farm agent.

Also got the frame recall letter with the bike so that's next on the list. Hey, I looked underneath, is the frame cross-member supposed to be in two parts underneath hanging down?

Just kidding, knock on wood, everything will be kosher when it gets inspected.

State Farm is great. I pay $300 a year on my 08 ZX14 and I'am 34. The agent told me they don't care if it is a sportbike or cruiser that they go by the cc's.

Progressive. Comprehensive only. $434 first year. Just renewed at $298 the other week. 38/M/PA with clean record. I went with Progressive because at the time a DUI hadn't "fallen" off and I didn't want my Auto/Home insurer to find out by pulling record. Up front with Progressive agent and the DUI didn't even show up. Wondering if it is worth putting the bike with my regular insurer since it is only $300/yr anyway. Any thoughts...would savings be over $100 with multi? DUI is 6 months passed the 3 year mark now.

I'm amazed at the rates you guys pay. The cheapest i could get was $200 a month for full coverage. I do have 3 speeding tickets on my 3 year record though, maybe that is why. That was before i discovered the magic of lawyers, this summer i got 8 tickets from 15mph over on the highway to 2nd degree negligent driving. Every single one got dropped without me having to show up in court. For most of them the lawyer was cheaper than the ticket.

Do you guys that are getting these rates have any tickets? also, anyone from washington state getting those kind of rates?

Got a similar poll on the local board, PNWRider.com. You are paying wayyyyy to friggin much! I got two 5mph over, two failure to yield (running red lights), and I'm paying 'bout $100 a month full coverage with low deductibles. I'm 37 yrs old and married. I also know State Farm would offer me the same coverage for $66 a month, but I absolutely HATE State Farm. There's a reason both the Seattle Times and King 5 TV has done exclusives on them in the last couple years for ripping people off.
