Dry sump cost??

Hey all! Ive pondered the idea of converting my '08 to a dry sump oil system and am curious as to the cost. Not much of a dragracer but _occasionally_ i like to loft the front wheel, and i dont want to eventually spin a bearing or something because of it.

Is this cost effective?

Thanks for any and all input!

You can probably do this conversion for around $3k using Muzzy parts.

On the other hand, I haven't heard of anyone burning a 14 motor up from wheelies.

Thats good to know. I know ive have my bandit 1200 up high enough (not even at the BP) where the oil light would come on after a few seconds :o

Im rebuilding it into a custom 'fighter and have since added a top-end oiling kit to help the problem. Just wanna make sure it wont blow up. Kawi warranties are pretty much worthless. Ask me how i know....

I also have a Bandit 1200 project:

Like most of my projects, it's half complete. I can't decide which way to go with it...I have a turbo kit sitting here for it, but I may end up selling it.

My build----

Engine:

-Holeshot Big bore kit (1216cc)
-Holeshot Stage 2 jet kit
-Holeshot Intake cam
-Holeshot full Comp2 Exhaust
-Holeshot top-end oiling kit
-JE pistons
-Holeshot street/strip headwork (milled and ported)
-Clutch replaced with a fabbed-to-fit GSXR1100 clutch to handle the extra power
-APE cam chain tensioner
-Pistons have the tri-coat treatment from Performance Coatings
-Entire engine was blasted and recoated with a Thermal Dispersant ceramic coat by Performance Coatings
-Exhaust was blasted and recoated flat black by Performance Coatings

Chassis:

-Frame was shaved of all unnecessary tabs (rear peg holders, etc)
-Front end replaced with the forks/wheel/brakes of a 2002 Hayabusa (USD forks =win)
-Rear shock replaced with one from a Honda RC51
-Both front and rear suspension have been resprung for my size by GP suspension and Race Tech
-Custom fabricated mount for a 'busa steering damper
-Relocated the battery to open up the area under the seat
-Powdercoated EVERYTHING black
-Hayabusa clip-ons were replaced with an LSL superbike handlebar conversion
-Speigler SS brake lines front and rear
-Aftermarket Koso GP style gauge cluster (3" analog tach with digital speedo)
-Buell XB12R flyscreen custom mounted
-Aftermarket dual 4" headlights
-Pazzo shorty levers
-Gilles rearsets
-New paint
-Aftermarket undertail
-Aftermarket hugger
-Solo seat with Cowl
-GSXR1k front fender

Probably more that I cant think of lol.

Holeshot claims 150hp/96tq. I'll be happy with 140ish and 90tq. It stood up EASILY stock with the heavy 'S' nose on it lol.
