clutch drag will do that.... possibly warped plates, or a worn basket causing the plates to hang up instead of disengauging...

xtro, I pm'd you bro!

My 06 does the same thing and I have about 1600 miles on mine, I did get a little better when I changed the oil to a synthetic.

Mine has always done it since the first day I got it. It did get better with synthetic, but it still happens....doesn't bug me really. I wouldn't worry about it.

Mine does it shifting to first, but that's it. My dad's m109r does it shifting to 2nd as well... that's annoying.

mine does too .. and all my kawi's have worse than my suzuki's ..

I hate it .. makes me think people beside are loking at me wondering if i'm hiding some WWI low tech motor under the platsics ... it's embarrassing .. but the 14 is not worse than my 11 or others ..

here's a clutch related question ... I powershift .. and from second to first from a high speed to red-light.... it pulses and feels like it's going to pop out of gear .. pulses a few times till i'm stopped .. I think it doesn't do it when I use the clutch but I hate to use it .. it's not what I think I should have to do for the one gear change .. had them pull it apart under warranty twice ... nothing found but got a free oil change out of it ..

any ideas ?

Spawn- Most 14s clunk going into 1st(mine did) but if you change the oil to synthetic, it's removes/reduces the noise(clunk).

+1 I posted the same thread last year and the suggestion was to move to Synthetic after break in and since then 95% smooth as silk 5% Little Clunk.
