ZX-14 .vs. VW Jetta (ZX-14 loses.)
Yup,
Sad day. Today I was challenged by a 4-door VW Jetta ... and the Jetta won for the most part.
If this was a race to see who could stop the fastest, then I wold have won.
VW pulled out in front of me in traffic and I introduced the ZX-14 to his passenger side doors.
Details and pics here ...

Initial reaction from the shop today was to total it. We'll see if Allstate agree's on Tuesday.
I'm hoping for a total too, I don't feel too comfortable riding something that has been put together again. At least not something like this where performance and safety are paramount.
My first text message from the ER was ... "What colors are the 09's?"
Anyone have info on the 09's? I'm thinking nothing new since the 08 just got revamped.
Also, I have/had an Arai RX-7RR3 that needs to be replaced now.
Shoei X-11 or Arai Q-2 ?

kawabonzai- That sucks that you had an accident, but I'm glad to see that you're OK.
My first text message from the ER was ... "What colors are the 09's?"
Believe it or not, I'd rather hear that question than, " What color does that prosthetic limb come in?"

Thx for the "get wells" guys.
So word from the shop is they are going to total the bike. If that's the case it's time to pick out another bike. The shop only has an 08 silver on the floor which looks clean and ok to me, but some say lighter colored bikes are less visible.
My wife is interested in doing track days when she gets better at riding. So that got me thinking ...
Should I stick with the ZX-14 or get perhaps the lil brother ZX-10 for track days?
All the things I bought the Zx-14 for are now negated. My wife got her own bike. My hip still hurts.
The CBR1000RR and ZX-10 are looking like they'd have the power I like, plus I never got to use the Zx-14's full power potential on the streets.
I'm confoooooosed.

Take this time and ponder your thoughts....don't let the pain meds influence though . The 14 is Kawasaki's flagship bike, need I say more? If you're set on running tracks and knee dragin, the 14 wasn't built just for that anyway. The ZX14(IMHO) is an all around bike, smooth, minimum vibrations, great grunt power, and rare. For that alone, I would endorse the 14 but then again I like to be different but yet have things of value and sought out
