2009 ZX14 is going to have 220hp 130/tq. with an optional turbo for $3000 extra.

I would be hard pressed to buy used for a $2000 savings, as I am particular about everything.
How was it broken in?
Did they maintain it properly?
Checking nuts and bolts to see if they are marred from ametuers using wrong wrneches is a dead giveaway to stay away... if it has been molested...
its pretty easy to tell if it has been neglected, or abused especially if you get to meet the owner.
I like to look at used vehicles at the owners home, because generally ppl take care of ALL their stuff in a similar fashion.
If I knew the bike and owner, you might do alright.
Not many stunt or really abuse the zx14, most owners you will find are matured ot middle aged, wheras a 1000 or 600's are ridden by the younger abusive stunting crowd.
