Baffle packing smoked?

Went to the track friday nite figured i would pull the baffle out of my brocks short meg...pulled it out and the bottom section is toasted no packing left about 4 inches up is this normal? do have alot of decel poping but the plug is in that was supplied for the af box. have approx 3000miles on pipe since installed. And wondering if i should get it repacked soon or let it go till the end of the season approx 3months?

Packing is needed or you'll create a nasty hot-spot on that beautiful finish. If you get a hotspot on the carbon fiber Gen3, its toast. Packing is much cheaper than a new sleeve.
Be especially careful if you dyno the bike. Prolonged dyno sessions may create a hotspot if your packing is already crispy.
