And I am loving it!!!
When I get more miles on it, I will officially compare a 600 to a 1000 to a 1400.....
Enjoy the pics!!!

I have it in my friends garage with his 08 R6:

Butterthegreat- this is not a slam but I've really tried to like that new Honda but the lines are just not appealing to me. However, the perforamnce reviews are impressive... Good luck with the new Honda and give some real time reviews. I would be more incline to listen to a member on this board then a magazine. Enjoy!!

wow NICE! its odd its parked next to an R6.
Did you see this months Cycle World "Master Bike" competition?
The R6 performed best on the race track for supersport, the CBR1000RR performed best on the race track for Superbike, and Aprilia won the V club!
Most of us suspected the superb handling of the Honda litre bike would lead it in every shoot-out except the straight line.
Personally, I've been holding hard to my money, but the R6 has been nonstop temptation for me since I sold my track bike.

Warbird, Steve invested his hard earned $$$ in oil, ie: Friends of Bush...So he's making $$$...
He wont buy an R6, he's probably hanging out with StrokedOutZX14 and going to build a monster R1 with all his $$$
Butters, sorry to Jack your new bike...Good luck with it, all that matters is if you like it...

The cbr1000RR did the best on the track, but the zx10 trapped 10mph faster through the gates. I love the new 1000RR, but it's the most uncomfortable bike i've ever been on. I'll take an 05 10R comfort wise.

It weighs less than my 06 600rr wet, and ways less than my friends r6 wet......I think the bike will handle when I get some DCIII's on it...the qualifiers on it SUCK.

I found the cbr to be more comfortable than any of the other liters....for me at least. But I got the bike for handling....not for speed.

I can respond to this.
yea, every one of these statements are accurate. friends of Bush, invested in oil, and I'm too cheap to purchase an R6. oh, why was my ocean front property in death valley excluded?
Well, I did buy an R1 new recently because I've never owned a Yamaha, but rather than "hop it up" I don't understand the whole straight line thing...but two pages of mods I've done can be seen by clicking here! http://www.bikeland.org/board/viewthread.php?FID=35&TID=35335&set_time=1217106846
And Butters, unlike crotch rocket I won't claim "sorry to jack your thread"....but back on topic you got a nice ride as I stated above, winning the shootouts and master bike competitions, and much better performing than any R1 on any day...and its a Honda!

my next bike will be a sport tourer.
track bikes don't count - thats a separate world. I sold the 600RR recently and may replace it with a new R6 in track plastics. but since I've been out of FL more than in with no track time, it doesn't make sense.

I saw both in person..the new Honda blade and the new ZX-10R....at least from the front view I liked the Honda better...neither as nice as my 04 ZX-10R...but the Honda is not as ugly as I previosly thought...in my opinion..
There ya go steve.........
have fun....
