OK 'BOUT TO LOSE MY MIND!!!
This posting a photo thing is ridiculous. I have posted pics elsewhere, but for some reason, this site will not work. I have my pics in photobucket. I click IMG and a yellow copy momentarily comes up. I hit Control C. I maximize Bikeland in the profile section. Under Avatar I put the cursor in the small white space. I hit Control V. The numbers for my photo fill the space. I hit submit. Absolutely nothing happens. I also try this same scenario in the signature space with a larger photo. I hit submit. It just sits there, not doing anything. I have flashes of my baseball bat smashing computer in a rage, but then figure I wouldn't be happy with myself afterward.

Thanks Faster, but still no go. I rechecked it. I was checking the box and a redline appeared around the photo. I hit submit, NOTHING!!! I now realize that even trying to change anything I wrote on the profile page will not change. I'm sure it has to do with some dumbass cookie thing. I've written Bikeland about it. Thank you for your time.

1) No Ctl C required when you click the image link on Photobucket...
2) It's not a cookie thing
3) If you're trying to UPLOAD a photo for your avatar...you have to UPLOAD the actual picture, not a link to it...links will only work in the signature box, not the custom avatar.

So how come even when I try to change something I've written...do ANYTHING in the profile page and hit the submit button, nothing happens?

Oh -- it also looks like BB code has also been disabled in the signatures.
Sounds like you may have a Javascript issue on your browser...have you tried another browser by chance?

I've been on a couple of other sites posting some pics; one a local cycle meet group. That's about it.

no images in signatures... rest is "operator error" - photo posting clearly described in "how to post pix for dummies" at top of forum.

For all those who just love to say that the instructions are clear and I am obviously doing something wrong, I think I showed that I know how to post a pic with the above photo. I've posted other pics on here as well. I have followed the instructions from the "how to" post to the letter. I think Steve is on to something because at this point I cannot do ANYTHING in my profile. If I erase or try to change anything then hit submit, it does nothing. I will write the administrators again. Thanks for those who are trying to help.

Here's the deal... the administrators have NO IDEA what you are talking about - your email to us really made no sense so it makes it very difficult to help you.
Editing your profile is considerably easier than riding a ZX-14.
FYI to edit your profile, you need to be LOGGED in to the site. If you can't even get in to your profile, you're not logged in.

Jeez Fish you Canadians... what he's saying is that something is locked up. He can get into his profile but it wont let him DO anything. I agree its probably on his end, but still...

THANK YOU STICKS!!! Good lord Fish, what part of my email did ya'll not understand? The bottom line is that at this point NOTHING in my profile is working. Can't change anything. I am on a computer at work right now. I just went in to my profile again and erased a line and hit submit. It worked off of this computer. The line is no longer there. Obviously something is turned off or askew on my home computer. So, what do ya think Sticks, is that plain enough for them? Again, I think Steve from earlier was correct in that something for some reason is locked up on my home computer. So thanks Sticks and Steve for your help.

AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Something was wrong between the photobucket and bikeland. On my home computer, checked if editing worked in profile. It did. Split screen with photobucket, nothing in profile would work. Soooooooooo, I sized down a photo from photobucket, emailed it to myself, then put that pic from my email to my pictures. Went back into profile, browsed, found pic in my pictures and edited and it worked!!! Holy shit what a pain in the ass.
