Running Lean

I decided to put my bike on the street this week.
Didnt change anything from how I race it. And noticed the tail pipe is white even with 89pump gas. I thought that with a race map the tune should be real fat (rich)
Is this normal? or a better question is has anyone else experienced this?
I didn't want to change over to the street map, but I cant keep riding like this.

Current setup:
-Smeg
-BDE Track Map
-No Airfilter, flies out
-Went from MR9 to 89 pump

Nelson don't worry it will turn black , it takes a few miles ( 150 to 250 )

Pull the plugs real quick that will tell the tale! I ran Brocks Track Map for 2 years in my bike on the street and it was PERFECT

Thanks Smokin and BlackMagic
Btw I didn't really see any signficant gains between the two fuels MR9 and 87pump which is what I usually race with. I was looking to run 150mph in the 1/4, could only get 148mph in the the heat of the day. I try again once it cools off (September)

the track map should be fine, like smokin said it will get some color soon enough. when he brought his bike out after track only his pipe was light, but after a few miles on the street it will get nice and sooty like mine.

Don't know about MR9, but avgas and some Trick fuels will leave a white residue on the pipe. Also, if you dyno'd your bike and modded the map to make it run 12.7-1 A/F ratio, you will be lean on the street. The Ram Air does work and will lean it out. You sure that you have a track map and not a dyno map? Just throwing ideas out there...

Nelson- re-install the filter for street use!
You'd be amazed what I have pulled from mine with the filter installed

That should help richen it just a touch as well.
The race gas does leave a light tinting on the pipe, like already said give it time.
