2009 zx-14 colors? changes?
Has anyone heard about 2009 colors or changes to the zx-14?

the big bike will never have an "R" designator such as the ZX10 and ZX6

ZX14r would come with the secondary throttle plates already removed and a Kawi version of the power commander that could be accessed by usb.
The rear shock would be a standard 13.5 k/mm spirng rate, with the option of the current spring for the lite-weights that want to ride one of the only sport bikes capable of holding us big guys.
The R version would come with traditional Kawi color scheme - i.e. circa 90 model ZX-7 green, white, blue
Digital gauges: water temp, oil pressue, and speedo
Analog tach
Split seating (ala ZX10) instead of the ugly banana seat it currently has.
Adjustable rear suspension links from the factory
More form fitting front fender for improved air flow to radiator
metal straws in airbox (i.e. laminar ?sp? flow of air) to reduce air box turbulence
split adjustability on the high/low beams
dual fans on the radiator
raised passenger seating to improe passenger's forward view as well as greatly improve underseat storage from "it holds nothing but a booger" to "it will hold my cell phone and wallet"
adjust gearing since it is electronically limited to 186....the gearing should be adjusted as well.
electronically(ecu) limited power availability (ala ZX-10 electronically actuated servos) during first 1000-1500 miles to ensure proper break-in/driver familiarity with bike and characteristics. Program would allow an option on the dash display to select from retarded setting for limited power to ReTaRdEd setting for the folks that just can't live without more.....
just my 2 cents off the top of my head.....
and why stop at the r....be like Honda...make it an RRRR......

dream on..... I'd buy at LEAST one of those bikes you described! but Kawi will never release an R version of the 14

it amazed me when i saw the fancy limited edition R1 with ohlins and all that shit, yet still had rubber lines! wonder if the 1098 does?

Haven't heard any news about 2009 yet but if it's like previous years we in Europe will get last years US models. Personally I think the red limited edition looks great, not so sure about the white though.

I think The ZX14 2008 Special Edition (Black & Red) has a very attractive colour.
Not sure when 2009 model will be out.

All of our Aprilia sportbikes come with braided steel lines............so do our scooters.

My bike has never had a rev limiter. (07SE orgasm white with nipple red trim lol) anyway 197mph so far and that was with my tom tom GPS velcrowed to my bars. WAAS enabled and full signal strength. been 192/194 several times, 9400rpm in 6th gear and keeps pulling. Maybe I got lucky but just saying it like it is. Don't think I have anything to bypass it
