Live in Michigan, 39 yrs old, own home, excellant credit. Progressive at $1300 a year both comprehensive and collison with $250 and $500 deductables respectively. However, i can take the collison off during the winter months so i save almost $700. *#@%ing Detroit drives up our insurance rates in this state. I should probably raise the collison deductable that would save some pennies.

All i know is mine more than doubled from last year to this year and my record is clean. Apparently zx14 was classified as a sports tourer when it came out and now that has changed to sportbike. Well at least that's what my insurance broker told me.

I'm with state farm and I pay 480 per year for my 14, and 1200 per year for my wife's little jetta vr6. Both are full coverage with a $500 (I know it sucks) deductable. I have 2 speeding tickets and a ticket because I lost my wallet so I didn't have my license on me. I'm a married 21 year old with a 2 year old.

Just got my 07 zx14, still all stock. I am new here. With Progressive in S.Cali. 36 years old, perfect driving record. Too many bill to pay, so I went with "liability" for now. $181.00 for a year. For full coverage it was over 900.00...which I can't afford now. Will go Full next year though.

I got lucky, when i had my ZX11 i paid $360 a year with $500 deductable with farmers and i was with them for 12 years, got the 14 and all of the sudden they wont cover me, I checked with statefarm and got the same answer, I looked at progressive, Gieco and half a dozen others with all priced between $2000 to $2500 a year, Country ins was the only good price I found at $445 a year with $1000 deductable and I'm 45 with a perfect record in the Port,Or. area.

You guys in the US are lucky on your insurance costs.

I live in Alberta, clean record, 48 years old. State Farm. $950 for full coverage, but with a $2000 deductable.

State Farm is better than my previous carrier whic was almost $1400 per year.

whoa !!!!!

dude .. I'm in alberta too .. got 8 tickets and Co-op JuST found out ... I had $500 deduct, pl/pd and fire/theft.. no colision since I figure if I REALLY needed it .. I ain't ridin this bike again .

so .. I am paying $535 this year .. and going to $1200 next but I'll cut it down to pl/pd and still only pay $325 and no deductable....

think allstate is your friend ? co-operators are chealest in almost ALL cases ... give them a call .. I double dare ya .. and collision with that kinda deduct is tossing your cash away duder...
