IHRA license
Track booted me last night until I get licensed. Anyway, nobody there gave me specifics as to what I am to do from here. This is an IHRA license NOT NHRA so any help with IHRA info is appreciated.

I think that an NHRA license is also honored by the IHRA, but the IHRA license is not honored by the NHRA. I'm not totally sure on that though, you should look into it.

NHRA requires a physical where IHRA does not. I know you can download a license application on NHRA web site.IHRA I do not know.

You didn't need a physical last year, most tracks are real good about helping you get you paperwork done.
Just plan on making a bunch of easy passes, and a couple full passes.
Be ready to hot-lap if you are going to get it all done in one day.
Mark is right tho, NHRA is the better license to get if you plan on racing other tracks.
A little harder to get due to physical, but worth it, works evrywhere!

from the rule book
"Current physical records are required for all professional, TS and TD drivers. Forms must
be filed with IHRA Technical Department prior to competition."
so you wont need a physical.

Just got my NHRA license in the mail last week, sure is good to know it works at all tracks. It was easy to get, did get a physical but even if you dont have Ins. it would only be $58. Went to the track with the forms and made 6 passes (4 easy, 2 full) got a few signatures mailed in the forms(w/time slips) A temp license show's up first then the real deal a few weeks later. Its worth it to be able to race on a real track(at least around here)

NHRA never sent me a temp. Just the real thing after a 2 week wait.
