Just wondering...how many of you have or know what a biker bell is?

Biker lore about the bells is as follows. You are supposed to hang the bell at the lowest point on your bike. When you run over a pot hole put there by road gremlins and their place of residence the bells sucks them up inside and when you hit the next bump in the road it drops the gremlins out of the bell and you run over them with your rear tire killing them thus eliminating road gremlins and making things safer. They can't build anymore pot holes or road hazards.

I have biker bells on both bikes. Both were given to me by a friend. What I have heard is they dont work if you buy them for yourself, a friend has to give one to you..

They work best on cruisers, sport bikes are too fast.

My dear old Dad gave me my bell and I've had it on both my bikes and will keep it on my bike. I think it's a good story even though there is several different versions of it. Never hurts to have a little good luck.

Sportbikes do not weigh enough to crush the gremlins, thus the world would be overrun by tiny gremlins creating complete chaos and anarchy.

Myth...busted.

BTW, the Gremlins are close relatives of the Smufs, which would make them :
