Bike show

I entered a bike show today even though I knew I wouldn't win. It really was some bullshit because the two bikes that placed 1st and 2nd in the sportbike category weren't worthy of winning. One was a luey vitton bike that looks like shit (circled in red) and the other was an R1 that had a sticker kit on it in place of an actual paint job. I mean I didn't expect to win because an idiot is impressed by a shitty paint job and chrome rims but there was at least one bike that I fully expecty to win. It was an '03 R1 with a black and maroon paint job. The bike had ghost flames, skulls and other stuff painted in that couldn't be fully appriciated until you got up close. There was a completely over done transformer bike along with two others done by the same painter. Completely too overdone and nothing else to compliment the bike other than the paint jobs but even those looked better than both winners. I'm not sayin I should have won, but at least a damn honorably mention would have been nice.

Here are the pics:

Here's the first 08 CBR 1000RR that I actually liked. It still had the ugly ass front end and ugly exhaust but at least the tried and the candy chrome does look nice.

I think you went to the wrong show. The other entries all had change for the sake of looks, blinging paint and so forth which is fine if you like that kind of stuff. Your bike has sensible go-faster modifications, nothing on it that doesn't benefit performance.

I went in knowing I wouldn't win. The only thing I had going for me was the fact that I had the fastest bike there and it was also the only stock looking bike. So I was hoping all of the custom painted bikes would cancel each other out and only have one of those win while I get extra points just for having a clean ass bike thats ungodly fast. It was funny to sit back and watch everyone read my little sign and watch their jaw drop when they read the numbers on there. I had all sea level converted numbers so they were a little inflated over what everyone in the area has seen. But even my unconverted numbers at 4500ft elevation are better than anyone elses.

This is what I had on my sign:
184hp @ 9888
104TQ @ 7550
9.57@142 1/4 mile

Oh, and the statement "Fastest all motor bike in Sierra Vista" I was hoping to get a race outta someone who wanted to dispute that claim.
