headlights

I wanted to know if any of you have experimented with headlights. First off my lights seemed to be adjusted really low so I checked in accordance with the owners manual. It was about 8" low at 15' away from the wall. That was way to low, so I adjusted it to what the O.M. stated and I can see much better now.

I would also like some brighter lights and I don't know what is the best to look for. Does anyone have any suggestions? I am even looking at H.I.D. lights. Thanks.

I weigh 190 and the hieght of the lights only dropped about an inch when I sat on it. Only took 5min to adjust though.

Why would you change springs and not just stiffen the compression?

Any chance for you guys to explain a bit about the "How to" adjusting process? Knowing the do's and don't's might save us simple mortals a lot of head aches when doing it.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
David

There's a lot of info on this forum regarding this, Just search HID. To give you a prelude to what you will read, the light housing that the 14 has does not emmit the light correctly when using a true HID conversion kits. I have found lights from the high beams from HOEN(H9) and I just purchased low beams(H11) off of Ebay but these lights aren't a true HID conversion but a xeon bulb that emitts 63k light frequency(still using the same light housing/connector). I will put them in my bike this weekend so look for some pics soon.
