Frame recall

Hey guys, thanks for all the welcomes!
Took my bike in today for the recall. After they called Kawasaki to see what they were suppoed to do, I got the low down. it seems that on some 06-07 ZX-14's engine mount adjusting collar at the lower rear crossmember may have been over tightened. Kawasaki guidelines are if it takes more than 39.5 lbs to loosen the nut, then the hardware must be replaced. If any cracks are seen they are to cut off the neck with the ID numbers, send it to Kawasaki for a duplicate frame with matching numbers. My bike broke loose at 13 lbs. So I passed. Then the dealer punches the frame just above the vin to show its been checked by them. So I am on the road again. Hope nobody has this problem because it would take 6-8 weeks to resolve.

glad it was a quicky, it will be for most. my feeling is that most of the problems came from folks overtightening when doing mods.
