Have you been hit in a parking lot?
A friend of mine bought a 750 1 month and 1 day ago.
Today sitting in his office chair he rose to a crunch, a Bell truck backed over his bike.
The guy didnt even stop. 1 fluid motion.
Back tire has a couple slices left side of the bike all scrapped up. Clutch leaver broken.
The list goes on.
I might be able to get pics off of him later.

Never had anything like that but I did have an old lady in a new beetle pull out in front of me in a parking lot. Me and my old R1 both ended up under her front bumper. Me and the bike both slid about 10' before we made impact with the car. I was fine but I wrecked the whole front end of the bike during impact with the car. If the bike didn't hit the car, I could have easily picked it up without a scratch except on the frame slider. But the slightest impact with the car curshed everything infront of the forks on the front end.
Doesn't really follow your friends story but, "Yes, I have been hit in a parking lot."

Hit in a parking lot....unfortunately.....yes
fury:
About 5 years ago, I was picking up my then, Honda VFR from service at the (stealership) and got clipped by a tech (moron?) buzzing the building coming around to the service side not expecting anyone to be pulling out. What? Barely put the bike in gear, looked both ways and just as I let the clutch out.......boom. Needless to say the store.....paid, but a major PITA to have the bike down 2 weeks after between parts and repairs when I had only dropped it off for a recall issue check a couple days before.
Dress for a crash....not a ride.
Ride safe.....

I had a zx11 a few years ago, it got ran over by a kid in a taurus. I watched him take the trash out the back door of the store and look the bike over 3 times, about 20 minutes later he got in his car and back'ed straight up around the dumpster and right over the bike. It got caught on the bumper and he pulled it about 10 feet before it popped back out. I got it paid off and enough to fix it and then some. I have had the same insurance guy since i was 16 and he's great. the kid was only 17 and driving his momma's car...i'm just glad she had insurance.
