does doing wheelies hurt the bike BAD..
Was just wondering what the damage could be done to your bike if you pull wheelies...

HUH ! Anything other than riding normally if done wrong can damage your bike. Rev it to 8 grand and put it in gear with the clutch out would do it, But no one in there right mind will ! Doing wheelies doesnt in it self hurt anything unless you come down hard, Then you can damage a fork seal. Or excessive clutch slip can smoke the clutch plates. Worst case i have seen was a bad wheelie followed by the right hand slipping off the throttle on touch down causing a crash, That was pretty bad for the bike. So your answer is NO !

just remember that zx-14 oil pans are very sensitive to asphalt!!!!! lol

Could lose suction to the oil pump, which could in turn spin a bearing. Also, a hard landing on the ZX-14 has been known to break the frame at the front neck. Known as being a weak point on the frames.

You would only lose suction on the oil pump if you are "smart" enough to only fill the oil up to the bottom line. I always make sure the oil is on the top line. But even then you would have to be at a 12 o'clock at a high speed to do damage quick enough. And I don't think many people do stuntin' on a 14.....
And if you come down obscenely hard from a wheelie you can break things....but many have testified on many other threads, they have come down from wheelies pretty hard and their bikes are fine....just ask smokin....he will more than likely chime in here....

i wheelie my bike just about everytime i race it mine its fine so far... it has been turboed sprayed abused.i have raced it for about a year...BUT every persons is different

Fork seals are the major thing on my zx-12 over time they would start leaking but maybe I was coming down to hard. Don't do wheelies on my 14 cause I lowered and stretched it.

As long as you don't mind replacing fork seals yearly (or sooner), replacing fork tubes every couple years, checking/replacing steering head bearings regularly, don't mind going through chains and sprockets 4 times as fast as normal (if you clutch wheelie alot), replacing clutches more often, posssible oil starvation for long wheelies, possible frame breakage over time (one friends broke 2), gauges quitting/bodywork cracking from impact, bulbs burning out quite often from impact. I know a few guys who love to wheelie and do it constantly...this is the norm for them. They admit it, and don't mind the extra maintainence. I'm not knocking wheelies, been known to do them here and there myself...I'm just sharing my friends experiences. Like I said, if you don't mind.......
Hell if thats what turns your screws do it, everybody buys a bike for different reasons  Its your toy, sometimes you gotta pay to play
