MSD Launch Master 2-Step Install
Fellas, does anyone have any insight with one of these suckers? It is currently getting the best of me! It operates on either a 12v or clutch switch activation. I am trying to get it dialed in for the clutch switch activation and not having much luck. If anyone has thrown one of these on before, your advice would be much appreciated! Thanks. Kevin.
**EDIT**
I guess I should be more specific.. When hooked up as follows:
Coil wiring harness hooked up as per directions (only one way to hook it)
Black ground wire grounded
Blue activation wire UNHOOKED COMPLETELY
I have constant activation on the unit even without the blue wire hooked up to the clutch activation ground.. When I disconnect the black ground from the chassis and hook up the blue activation to the correct (solid black) clutch activation ground wire, the unit acts like it should (powers up only with clutch pulled in gear or in neutral). However as soon as I let the clutch out the unit LED goes out and the bike stalls.

Make sure all connections are correct, leave the blue wire disconnected for now and make sure the ground goes straight to the battery. Turn the key on and ground the blue wire somewhere on the bike. The LED should come on, if it does all is well. Keep in mind there is a side stand lock out switch involved, have the side stand up. All the blue wire does is complete a ground throught the clutch switch. I would advise putting a toggle switch in line to have the option of turning the launch master on or off. The unit should only be active with the clutch pulled in, light on.

I hear you. I have a good ground with the black wire. The light comes on when I attach it and off when I pull it away. But the fricking thing stays on no matter what, even when the blue wire is diconnected..

The fella I bought it off was running 9.3's all day on stock wheelbase with wheelie bars, pingle strut, 16-43 gears, and Ti Force 4-2-1 with mapping. He said it was a matter of pinning the throttle and pretty much dumping the clutch. I'll be running a stage 1 on my 08 with stock gearing, pingle bars and strut, Pingle electric shifter etc etc.

This sounds really interesting once you get it lined out. Grab W o t , letting it sit on the limiter till you drop the clutch. I would guess if you can keep it from spinning out, you should be well on your way to a decent run.
Good luck getting it all hooked up, keep us updated.....

Here is talk from another discussion which may help. I hooked mine up the very first time with no issues.

Mine works (mechanically), but still haven't tried it out yet. Plan on testing it this Saturday.
