Hey Nick.............I guess it depends how many miles you do each week. Just keep an eye on your chain, and if it looks a little dry put a drop on each link like I do. I have been doing this for a LONG time and have had great results with it. If you have been using chain lube..........get a turkey basting pan ( one of the cheap aluminum ones ) some kerosene and a good stiff toothbrush. Pour some kerosene in the pan, set it under the center of your chain ( I always put my bike on the pit-bull stand ) and scub the heck out of it till it's spotless. Wipe off the chain or blow it off with an air hose and let it set overnight. Then put one drop on both sides of each link and wipe off when your finished. I promise the wheel will spin freely like it never has. And like i said above........that oil is a whole lot easier to clean off the wheel than chain lube. You can even fill a little visine bottle and keep with the bike when you ride, along with a small rag................
