Baddazz ZX14 today at the track / pics

Here's a few pics of the 14 at Shadyside today during our first shakedown session. This was the first time the bike has seen the track. We got rained out friday night at Wareshoals, a much better prepared track. Temp was 85 degrees and the track was greasy. Lloyd William, a ZX14 member here was also having a hard time hooking. Needless to say this thursday night we will be at a track that is always well prepared. The numbers are as follows for our quickest run of the day. I had to drop the air pressure in the rear slick to 7 lbs
just to get some kind of traction. I will have videos of the runs from the photographer hopefully in my email tonight or tomorrow night

Reaction : .594
60' :1.443
ET : 5.794
MPH : 122.628

Is the Bottle just for your shifter, or was that 5.79 on spray?

Awesome! Thanks for sharing.

Are you running the stock pegs for foot placement? That looks like it would be hard to get your feet back up on them. Are you going to put some pegs far back to get the rider laying down better?

Bently. one of the things I have noticed is built bikes take time to tune... I dont know ANYONE!!!!!!!!!! with a fully dressed 14 that has ran a 5.79 there first time ever down the track LMAO I guess having a busa has got your mind kinda screwy LOL... I too would like to know how much it weighs and what kind of power it has, was that a motor pass or nitrous?

pretty sure the bottle is CO2, since he has a regulator on the shifter.

he said run it stock motor, then dry shot, then 1530, then turbo.

Sorry I missed the track today, when will your next test n tune be?

I spoke with Don early today, It was a motor pass and the track was pure sh_t.
He had to run very low tire pressure to get it to hook up.
That's straight from Don to me to you!

Thanks for sharing. I must admit that the bike looks too naked, I miss the fairings but I guess it must be stink fast. Congrats and keep us posted.

Dang...I guess I never knew they had Zamboni's at the drag strip. Hell, you even got 50 cent as a spectator sitting on the wall right next to your bike........

and what do ya know....I think I even spy Larry the Cable Guy in one of those pics.......

We made 5 passes with all 60' times at 1.44 except when Lee launched it at an 8 grand try and went up in smoke. We actually didn't finish the bike until 5 am Sunday morning and the first run was at 1 pm. We were running a Shinko slick that I am changing to a MT. I will be massaging the PC map before we run again thursday night. Also we were on 87 octane and no spray ( using nitrous in the bottle to shift ). All motor, stock...valve cover has never been off. Rider weighs 128 with gear...haven't weighed the bike yet, but will. There will be footpegs on the swingarm where the spools would attach. Lee wanted pegs in stock location because of his riding style. There are some tenths we left on the table that with fine tuning, suspension and rider placement adjustments to be made. We are looking for 1.30 60' and 5.35 thursday night.

Fifth..that's some funny sh*t...this track was in Wayback, NC....just outside of Getback.
The reason for the Zamboni is they have a semi pro hockey team..the Wayback Inbreeders.

Kawabunga you might want to try a metzler dragtac tire. This tire has been hooking good on the turbo bikes in the ama dragbike series.{lasts much longer and cheaper than a mt.}

I just noticed the front end wasn't even strapped. Get that thing a little lower and with more seat time the number will fall.

Chain guard didn't get finished in time for the test session. It will be on when we run on thursday.
We appreciate all the good words and encouragement.
