Finally!! Some decent numbers...

I finally got some decent numbers out of my bike i'm happy with. Last year with the same set-up i have now, i ran a best of 9.23 at 148. Well 7 months has passed...i'm 52 pounds lighter and i ran a best of 9.12 at 149. I wasn't having much luck with my 60's yet (1.45-1.47) but i got some rust on me. I was 230 pounds in shorts the end of last year and after working my ass off all winter i'm down to 178 in shorts....fully suited i figure i'm still 190. The bike seems to be doing ok for now....i removed the lock-up bec ause i was getting a sudden thud when it locked up and it would pull the bike down. I could have used more gear to help pull thru the bog but i didnt want to. The clutch is the same one i ran last year so it's probaly due for another one. I have to fix a leaky valve cover before i can go back, but i'm looking foward to chasing some 9.0's.

Good numbers, do you think all you picked up came from the weight loss? I mean were you 60fts and 330 about the same? I would have thought 52 lbs would have been worth a little more. I'm not so sure what I've always heard is right I always heard ever 20 lbs is a .10th

Thanks....believe it or not I didnt find it that hard to do. I cut out my soda, exercise and watch what i ate. I bought a book called "eat this, not that"...it was very helpful.
I have to get my 60's back down where they was last year...1.41-1.42. I am hoping for a 1.3 something and a 8.90's pass...i would be really happy with that.

That's awesome to be able to lose that much weight. I would love to weigh 175. I'm at 205 right now. Where can I find that book??

With the hot weather, my appetite has really deminished the last 3 weeks. Excercise is what I need, and its what I don't do. I really have to try harder.

Bently...I think so, my numbers are not as good as they was last year. I see my biggest gain in the 1/8 with 5.80's. I know i can 60 in the high 1.3's if i can get my clutch hand back with some practice...then it will all be better from there. I'm not sure about the 20 pound rule either...i guess if i could be a little more consistant i could give ya a better answer.

ninjaboy...I got that book at walden books. The editor of Mens Health wrote it and it's a real eye opener. The outback cheese fries was the worst food in america with 2,900 calories, i used to smash a plate of those before my meal! No wonder i was 230 pounds. I also got into MMA...nothing like rolling around on the floor trying to smash a guys face in. lol I work out with all the cage fighters around here and it's a great/fun work out. The bumps and bruises just let you know your still breathing.

Jonny...cut out the soda, it's alot of carbs. I have a subway in my work parking lot and would go get refills all day long. I figured it up one time and i was taking in almost a full days worth of calories and 2 days worth of carbs every day, just drinking coke.
