Teresi Dyno Drags

I'm spending a few days at Myrtle Beach for Bike Week. Today I went by HD Spokes and they had the Teresi Dyno Drags truck there. Just for the heck of it I decided to sign up and give them my $30. I figured it would be a nice cheap way to see how much power my bike is putting out.

One person on a harley was able to put out 122 hp, just about everyone else was around 100 - 115 hp range.

On my first attempt I managed to make a complete fool out of myself and I knocked it out of gear and into neutral right at the start. For some reason I got nervous and just couldn't figure out what to do so I just sat there like an idiot. The guy running the show was nice enough to make a complete fool out of me, however he decided the first run wouldn't count so we still got three more runs. He did announce that this was proof that even if you have the fastest machine in the parking lot if you can't drive it doesn't mean anything. All the Harley guys were getting a big kick out of my mistake.

The second run I took off decent but thought something was wrong so I let up on the gas a little before the end of the 1/4 mile run. I still ended up with a 9.8 second run.

The third run I did a little better. I got a 9.18 second run with 182 hp.

The forth and final run I had a terrible reaction time (.977, they said .50 was perfect). I ended up with a 9.151 second run, 183.3 hp, 154.3 mph.

I realize this means nothing when it comes to running a real 1/4 mile but it was still a lot of fun. He also announced that my bike was the most powerful and fastest bike that had been on their machine so far in Myrtle Beach.

I've been on their dyno drags several times now. The HP #'s are typically 15 to 20 HP high. Last time I had my 155HP dynoed ZRX on there it put out 181.9HP and ran a 8.906. I flipped the NOS on for the second run and put down 223.3 HP at 8.43 sec. It looked real impressive at Bike Week in front of all the Harleys. LOL

It doesn't show any wear from it at all.
