High speed wobble

Picked up a high speed wobble around 140 on the track yesterday. Running a stock Bridgestone tire on the front and pilot power on the rear. 3000 miles on the front tire 3 months ago. Steering is very light under hard acceleration, bike is lowered to the middle hole on the Muzzy link. A new tire usually fixes the a wobble. Have a steering dampner ordered but am I correct in assuming how to fix the wobble? Suspension is to spec. Only turned a 10.30 @ 147mph, overweight issue on my part, still improving the the 1/8 mile though 6.8 at 113 mph. 1.8 60'

lets see you lowered it ran mismatched tires and wonder about a wobble, when you lower it you change the geometry of the whole bike and that could cause it, but most likely you need some matching rubber on balanced wheels for a start. also get someone who knows suspension to set your bike up like chad from kinetic motorsports. a damper just treats the symptoms.

Yes it is a bad deal to mix tires, suspect I just proved that, the BT020 rear broke loose at 9000 rpm prompting the hasty move to a pilot power solved that problem to pick up another. Wobble wasn't a big surprise and agree with you completely about treating the symptom, It will still wobble even with a dampner. Damn...... hate changing tires with lots of tread left.

i dumped the battleaxes and put pilot powers front and rear, best mod yet, very solid. i could get the battleaxe front to wash out and it had plenty of tread. get the michelins and don't look back.

why would different styles of tires make it go into a wobble as long as they are the correct size???
