what would you do, i need some advice
i put a deposit down on a silver 08 zx-14, but the dealer said it will take about 2 weeks until he can get me a silver one, but they have a 07 in black in stock what bike would you guys get. o and i already talked the dealer down 1k on the 08 what would be a good price for the 07

I'd wait for 08 silver if that's what you want.
If you get the 07 black you will only be happy for 2 weeks, then you will wish you had waited.

depends on what color you want and how much you wish to save...
the 07 should sell for at least $1000 less.
a GOOD pipe and PC with fliesout ~ $1000 will deliver much more satisfaction than any color preference...
Uncorked the performance is identical, so save some money , get the 07 and go FASTER for the same $!
I like black better....

07s listed on Ebay for $8600, and a guy I know at a dealership sez Kawa has a ton of left-over 07's, dealer cost is $8200.
I bought a silver a couple of weeks ago, and remember having the exact same dilemma as you. I was not a fan of the ZX14's look for a long time - until they made a silver one. I know I'm paying close to a $2k premium for the color I like, but you don't compromise when indulging in a purchase of the ultimate sportbike. I say get the silver!

Get the color you want, unless you really dont care. If you just want the bike and color isnt a biggie, get the 07'. I did the same thing with my silver, I had the chance to save almost 2k on a black 07', but I really liked the silver and its allot easier to maintain. Black really looks good, but it doesnt take long to start seeing all the little imperfections that your sure to get.

get the color you really want - for me it was black. i agree if that if you really want silver you will be sorry every time you see one.

Yeah I say go with the color you want also, i have the 08 silver i was the 1st person to buy a 08 in Denver, Co. and silver was the only choice they had. Now that I saw that blackish blue one I kind of wished I would have waited on that.

Black is pretty sinister looking, somewhat hides the bulk of the ZX-14, but you're ALWAYS cleaning it.
Silver shows how really big the ZX-14 is, but is very sharp and hides a few days worth of dust.

the same dealer has a 06 in blue still in the box i really like the blue ones, what would that bike go for you guys think I'm thinking 9 OTD

You should be able to get a REAL good deal on a 2006...........bottom line it comes down to how important clor is to you..............if color isnt THAT important then i'd get the 2006 and use the extra money for a full exhaust system, PC3, and gears. and have a whole different animal than a stocker...........a lot MEANER animal!

i think he said 07, same dif, get the one you like best. at least they have the mapping figured out for 06, 07 for adding the pipe
