2008 ZX-14 Map

Hello all I am new to the forum but I have a question. I bought a 2008 and about a month and a half ago I put a full system and pcIII usb and had it dynoed at a local tuner. He dynoed my it at 159hp which isn't that bad at altitude (Denver, Co.). But I noticed on the chart that he only took the bike up to 9000 rpms when tunning.

Recently I raced a 08 busa with damn near the same setup as me and from the launch i got him by at least a bike but by the time I got to 2nd gear he caught me then kept pulling on me till we crossed. He was arouund 4 bikes in front of me. Now I know that isn't possible but it seems like I have no top end.

Now do you think that is a result of the Map the guy put in there?

That is entirely possible! How much do you weigh versus the other guy? his gearing may be diferent, he may have had a better tuck. and his bike may indeed be faster then yours.

Yeah I do weigh more then him for my gears I am stock up front and 2 up in the rear. His gearing was stock. both bikes are stretched, maybe he is faster then me I just didn't think that he should have been that much more faster.

the sheet he printed off for you stops at 9000RPM??

there are a lot of variables when racing. In my 08 vs 08 encouter, the busa guy weighed maybe 25lbs more than me, but he could get the jump on me and i would run him down everytime. both bikes Brock alien, 65in, me 16/43, he had a custom map, i was using a Brock temp. map

what pipe are you using?

Hate to say this but that pipe is the worst pipe made for making HP on a zx14 ... Fact i think one guy lost hp with that pipe ...

Sell it and get a brocks Smeg and brocks race map ....You will see the HP and torq jump way up ..

I'm 169rwhp bone stock everything here in Ohio. Is Denver that bad to where he is 10hp less with all the extra goodies?

Smokin' I believe you on the pipe making less. A buddy here got the BOZ pipe for his zx10 and lost HP, so he ditched it and got an Akra.

from what I have read..the stockers are just about as good as they are and no popping, well other than going with full system and custom map.

Yepp the Roaring toyz Exhaust will lose HP we have tested it on a couple of bikes here... and yes altitude will make a bike lose a LOT of power

yeah I wanted the Brocks but at the time I couldn't afford it. But the thing is the guy at the dyno place had another 08 zx-14 with the exact same set up as me (roaring toyz) except he had something called Rapid Bike instead of the pcIII. Now the Rapid bike is suppose to curve your fuel and ignition??? but this zx-14 made 171hp's to my 159 and he also said the exhaust made a difference but I was looking at where he cut the Rpm's at and I was like maybe this guy is trying to sell me on the rapid bike by saying look at the hp gains? Has anyone heard of this? And could you really get that much HP's from that?
