About the third gear wheelie topic, the 2008 model BONE STOCK, i own it. It does come up a little after 9000 rpm in third at full twist of throttle. I am 138 pounds of bones 24 year old, first bike ever owned. I got open throttle, getting onto the freeway entrance ramp and found out the hard way what that bike does. Throttle response is very accurate in 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear. I met a guy at bike night in Royal Oak, Michigan, he said, "he owned a 2007 zx-14, the ride was worse than the 2008 model. Handling was different, and he couldn't tuck in on the gas tank as easy as he could with the 2008 model".

Look fellas, I'm 320lbs with a 06 14 with only Two Brothers slipons on it, and I pull second gear wheelies at will, and even have got it to come up in third gear on a few occasions when the weather was in the 30's.

Maybe its because you guys living in the thin hot air down south aren't able to use the 14's extra rich A/F ratio or what, but even full tuck up on the bars I can't hold it down in second.

Hmm, maybe us Northerners have "special" 14's that are just more powerful than the Florida/Texas groups. Which is why ours seem to have heating issues during the summer but you guys don't! hahahahha put that in your margarita

Maybe if they moved the gas tank to the ass, Like the busa "LOL" it would do 4th gear roll on wheelies. More impressed with it's freight train pulling power all the way to the red, Without and hard power curve. Must be the big block motor. Also the stock clutch is down right smooth and soild. With just a little clutch feathering it wheelies in third. Of course i had to try it. But dammit 1300 miles now and my back tire is about done.

None taken Jack, I feel sorry for my bike for having to put up with me all the time! It's one of the main reasons I chose the 14 over the Busa when I was shopping for my next bike. Just seemed like it could handle my weight easier than the Busa. In other words, it seemed like the kind of bike designed to ride two-up on, where the Busa seems like two-up is just a option. And having more power than the Busa might have played a role in that choice too...

I'm dropping the weight the right way right now, back to the gym and eating less of what I like and more of what I dislike. Tried to put my 5 yr old Joe Rocket 5.0 pants on two weeks ago and they didnt fit. Even with the elastic band. "Reality Check"
