straight links

Hi, I am a new member and I can't get the adams straight links installed with the adams fully adjustable lowering links seems like when I try to get the bolt for the lowering links to go in the middle hole of the straight link it won't clear the shock and the bolt isn't long enough. lowered 3/4 inch in the front and 1 1/2 inch in the back. This is a great site, Thanks.

welcome to the site scotty. I have a straight link on my bike and just installed some threaded adjustable lowering links myself. When I got them in the mail, I thought they would just bolt on. Wrong!

I had to use an assortment of washers and spacers to get it right. If you are not comfortable doing this type of work on your suspension, I would suggest taking it to someone to have some custom spacers made. You don't want the links to be crooked or on a bind.

the straight link has been the best thing I've done to my suspension, but none of the "bolt on" stuff seems to work with it. Since Adams sells both their own straight link, I would call them and get some advice.

You do need a longer bolt.
The zx14 links are curved and the adjustables are straight.
Take the bolt from the top with you or get a
12 mm X 120 mm bolt and about 10 washers, I got 12 X 150 and its way long.
The washers only serve to hold the sleeve centered in the bar.
